Updated 26 Oct 2017
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 is being released on 28th October.
So what's new? Well it's all still a little hush hush until release day. But what we do know is that it isn't being replaced by Dynamics 365 (read our blog post explaining Dynamics 365). The two products will in fact compliment each other. Dynamics NAV will still be the ERP offering for companies needing operational functions such as manufacturing and warehouse management either on premise or in the cloud.
NAV at it’s core will also continue to manage your finances with it’s accounting modules. Dynamics 365 is for those who need a combined CRM and accounting package in the cloud that they don't have to manage themselves.
Some things that we do know that are coming to Dynamics NAV 2017 are:
- Office 365 integration
- Embedded Power BI
- E everything
- Power Apps
- Improved incoming documents with OCR support for document lines
- Ability to cancel sales invoices, credit notes and purchase orders as well as smarter sales and purchase documents
Of course we do expect the user experience to be enhanced. We will update you further next month.
